I dusted off my DVD copy of this film a few weeks ago and was chagrined at how bad it looked on my HDTV, even with a decent unconverting blu-ray player. The Blu-Ray of RESERVOIR DOGS fixes everything. The colors are muted, but that’s in line with my memory of first seeing the film in a theater. But the resolution is sharp and convincingly filmic. Nice to have the film back again.

Granted, writer and director Quentin Tarantino may have created better films since this one, including “Pulp Fiction”, “Kill Bill” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, but this first effort already shows an amazing amount of skill. Tarantino’s trademarks of unexpected violence mixed with clever dialogue and despicable people that you can’t help but to love is here from the beginning. Crime thrillers don’t get much better than this!

The world didn't know what was coming in 1992! Debut of cinema's utmost provocateur/auteur when it comes to oddities, violence and stylized dialogue -- this movie is raw power thanks to its performances even if it gets a bit ramble at times. The kneecap scene still makes you shudder in surprise and horror, gives a great glimpse at what was to come just 2 short years later. Blu-ray is loaded with features and great PQ/AQ

The reason I'm giving it 5 stars is based on the opening scene at the restaurant. Harvey Keitel plays brilliantly off Lawrence Tierney. The cast is phenomenal. It's a really smart indie film, in that most of it takes place in one location, but it never gets boring.

Quentin Tarantino's big splash is now considered a classic. The basic plot is centered around what happens when a planned robbery goes wrong, and includes Tarantino/s now famous violence and mayhem! Highly recommended for ADULT audiences!

As with seeing it way back when it was released it’s a good movie, excellent cast and a enjoyable time to watch it! Has some leads into Pulp Fiction characters so that you know them before seeing the movie

One of Mr. Tarantino's best! But wait, all of his movies are great story telling. The movie before pulp fiction. Blu ray quality, great price found in the cheap blu ray bin. Thanks Best Buy!
